Keeping in mind the richness and great quantity of silver in our grounds, it's world famous quality, and above all, the admiration for this labour and the legacy of many generations that have dedicated themselves to this trade, working with silver, we wish to bring your senses to the wonderful creations made by the hands of these men with exclusive, one of a kind designs.
Brief summary
During the conquest of Perú, spanish silversmiths taught Peruvian artisans to laminate, emboss, and to chisel this metal. The amalgam these two currents had as a result an ornamental richness and a style with major indigenous influence of great esthetic quality. Silver was so abundant that it supplied the artisans with a great quantity of raw material of very high quality for the making of excellent filigree work, such as religious pieces and others for daily use that were greatly admired during the viceroyalty period, which are kept today as artwork of immeasurable value. Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, and the area of Puno and Bolivio, also known as Alto Perú, became the most importante centers of production; guilds for silversmiths were formed in some of these places.
Now a days, production for Peruvian artisans, dedicated to this activity continue to enrich this ancient art.
